What Sculptra is

Sculptra is not a filler in the classic sense: it is a biostimulator made of poly-L-lactic acid that teaches your skin to rebuild its own collagen. Instead of an instant volume change, it produces a gradual, structural improvement in firmness and facial support over months. At Estetika we recommend it to patients who want to age well on their own tissue, and who prefer results nobody can point to because they arrived slowly, the way natural change does.

How it works

Once injected, the microparticles act as a scaffold that triggers a controlled collagen response. Over the following weeks your fibroblasts, the cells that make collagen, build new supportive tissue along the treated planes. The product itself gradually biodegrades; what remains is your own collagen.

The procedure, step by step

After facial analysis, the product is injected in deeper planes across the zones that need support, typically temples, cheeks and along the jaw. The visit takes about 30 to 45 minutes. You get massage instructions to follow at home for several days; they distribute the product evenly and genuinely matter.

What to expect after

Right after the visit you look fuller, but most of that is the water in the injection and settles within days; do not judge anything that first week. The real change builds over two to three sessions spaced weeks apart, with collagen appearing progressively across several months.

Results and maintenance

Firmer, better-supported facial contours that develop over roughly three to six months and can last two years or more, among the longest-lasting results in aesthetic injectables. Maintenance is typically one session a year once the base is built.

Care and limits, honestly

Expect possible swelling, tenderness and bruising, plus the massage homework. Small nodules under the skin are an uncommon but known effect, another reason technique and dilution protocols matter. Results are subtler than conventional filler by design. Not for pregnancy or active infection.
