What Laser Hair Removal is
Laser hair removal targets the pigment inside the hair follicle with pulses of light, heating and disabling the follicle so it stops producing hair. Compared to a lifetime of shaving, waxing and ingrowns, it is the option that actually ends the cycle for most hair types. We treat face and body zones for women and men, with settings adjusted to your skin tone and hair color at every session.
How it works
Melanin in the hair shaft absorbs the laser energy and carries it down to the follicle root, where the heat disables the growth machinery. Because only follicles in their active growth phase respond, and at any moment just a fraction of your hair is in that phase, full clearance always requires a series of sessions.
The procedure, step by step
You shave the area the day before; the laser needs the follicle, not the hair above the skin. In session, the handpiece moves across the zone with each pulse feeling like a warm snap, cooling built in. Small areas like the upper lip take minutes; legs or back take closer to an hour.
What to expect after
Mild redness or bumps around the follicles for a few hours to a day is typical. Treated hair sheds gradually over one to three weeks after each session, do not wax or pluck it out, let it fall. Between sessions you can shave freely.
Results and maintenance
Most people need 6 or more sessions spaced 4 to 8 weeks apart, and hair grows back finer and sparser with each round until the zone is essentially maintenance-free. Hormonal areas may need occasional touch-ups once or twice a year afterward.
Care and limits, honestly
Avoid sun and self-tanner on treatment areas throughout the plan, tanned skin raises risk and forces weaker settings. Very light, grey or red hair responds poorly because the laser needs pigment; we would rather tell you that upfront than sell you a package that will not work.
