What Microneedling is

Microneedling is controlled micro-injury put to work for your skin. A precision device creates thousands of microscopic channels in the surface, each one invisible, each one a signal that flips your skin into repair mode. The response is new collagen and elastin, the two proteins responsible for smooth texture and firmness. It treats fine lines, enlarged pores, acne scars, uneven texture and overall dullness, and it works on virtually all skin tones, which not every resurfacing technology can say.

How it works

Each micro-channel triggers the wound-healing cascade without leaving a visible wound: growth factors arrive, fibroblasts activate, and new collagen is laid down over the following weeks. The channels also make the skin temporarily more permeable, which is why serums applied during treatment reach depths home skincare never touches.

The procedure, step by step

Numbing cream goes on for about 20 to 30 minutes. The device then passes over the skin in sections, adjusting needle depth by zone, deeper where scars need work, shallower on thin skin. A soothing serum finishes the session. Plan roughly 60 minutes door to door.

What to expect after

Skin looks sunburned for 24 to 72 hours, then may flake lightly as it renews. Makeup waits a day; sun protection is not optional during recovery. Most people schedule sessions on a Thursday or Friday and are presentable by Monday.

Results and maintenance

Texture refines and glow improves within a couple of weeks of each session, but the real change is cumulative: collagen keeps building for 4 to 6 weeks after each visit. Standard plans run 3 or more sessions about a month apart, with maintenance every few months after.

Care and limits, honestly

Active acne, certain medications and some skin conditions postpone treatment; the consultation screens all of it before anything touches your skin. Picking at flaking skin undoes the work. If deep acne scarring is your main concern, ask us about RF microneedling, sometimes it is the better tool.
