What Microneedling + PRP is
This is the pairing our team recommends most for overall skin quality: microneedling opens thousands of micro-channels, and your own platelet-rich plasma goes directly into them. Sometimes called the "vampire facial", the science underneath is straightforward: the micro-injury starts the repair response, and the concentrated growth factors amplify it. The result is more change per session than either treatment alone, with a recovery that is often shorter than microneedling by itself.
How it works
The channels become delivery routes: instead of sitting on the surface, your growth factors land exactly where collagen is being rebuilt. PRP also accelerates the closing of the micro-channels themselves, which is why redness tends to resolve faster than with microneedling alone.
The procedure, step by step
The visit starts with a small blood draw, then numbing cream while the centrifuge concentrates your platelets. Microneedling follows section by section with your PRP applied into the fresh channels, plus fine injections in zones that need extra work. About 60 to 75 minutes in total.
What to expect after
A day or two of redness, then light flaking as skin renews. No makeup for 24 hours, strict sunscreen after, and skip pools, saunas and heavy sweat for 48 hours while the channels close.
Results and maintenance
Progressive improvement in texture, tone, pores and fine lines over the month following each session, compounding across a series of about three. Skin tends to hold a healthy glow between sessions, which is the PRP talking. Maintenance runs once or twice a year after the series.
Care and limits, honestly
Same screening as microneedling plus the blood draw; hydration before the visit makes the draw easier. If your goal is one dramatic session before an event this week, this is the wrong tool and we will say so, collagen does not work on deadlines.
