Microneedling & PRP: Renewing Skin With Your Own Biology
July 2, 2026 · 5 min read
Some of the most effective skin treatments do not add anything foreign to your face at all. Instead, they switch on your body’s own repair process. Microneedling and PRP are two of the best examples — and together they are a powerhouse for renewal.
What microneedling does
Microneedling uses a device with very fine needles to create thousands of tiny, controlled micro-channels in the skin. It sounds intense, but the channels are microscopic. What matters is your body’s response: it reads them as something to repair and floods the area with new collagen and elastin. Over a series of sessions, that means:
- Smoother texture and refined pores
- Softer fine lines
- Improved tone and a healthier glow
- Gradual improvement in certain scars
Where PRP comes in
PRP stands for platelet-rich plasma. We draw a small amount of your blood, spin it in a centrifuge to concentrate the platelets and growth factors, and apply that plasma during your microneedling session. Because the micro-channels are freshly open, the growth factors reach deeper — amplifying the renewal signal.
Microneedling opens the door; PRP walks your own growth factors through it.
What to expect
Sessions take under an hour with numbing for comfort. Afterward your skin may look flushed, similar to a mild sunburn, for a day or two. Most people see the freshest glow within a week, with collagen building over the following weeks. Results are best as a series — typically three or more sessions spaced a few weeks apart.
Who it is for
Microneedling with PRP is a favorite for anyone wanting overall skin quality — texture, tone, early lines — without injectables or downtime-heavy lasers. In a consultation we confirm it is right for your skin and design the series.
